Terri Kane
Terri and her husband, Richard Kane, purchased Diamante Farms in Wellington, FL in 2002 with the goal of turning it into a high performance dressage facility for their daughter, Devon. Terri is Diamante’s matriarch and is instrumental in managing the business. Terri has always had a love for horses but became more involved as Devon revealed her own passion for riding. The farm was purchased to give Devon the best opportunities to succeed internationally.
DRIVING EXCELLENCE
Starting in 2005, Terri and Devon began purchasing young prospects to bring up the levels. “Watching each of the horses journey is very exciting and rewarding.” Four of the young horses, Destiny, Don Angelo, Winchester, and Dark Diamond are a few of the star performers of the program who have successfully shown at Grand Prix.
Terri loves overseeing the farm as well as travelling to Europe regularly to attend foal auctions and breed shows. She has developed extensive knowledge regarding up and coming bloodlines and stallions and in 2010, this led to her purchasing top foals for the Diamante program. The oldest of the group, 7 year old Jazz Diamante, has been competing successfully and is currently showing at the Developing Prix St. George. The future is very exciting with all the up and coming horses!
Terri also believes in giving back. She has been involved in the Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center in Loxahatchee, FL., for many years and is currently serving as the Board Secretary. In addition, Terri is on the committee for the Challenge of the Americas, a one-of-a-kind fundraiser which showcases the equestrian sports of Dressage and Jumping for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Terri also believes in supporting up and coming riders. Every winter Diamante Farms hosts clinics through the USDF young horse and young rider program, and is the party host for the Robert Dover Horsemanship Clinic, which brings young riders from through out the U.S. for a week of intensive training and education. Diamante Farms is a founding sponsor of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, the title sponsor of the Under 25 division at the festival, a sponsor of the Florida International Youth Dressage Championships and the presenting sponsor of the CDI 5*.
