Wellington, FL (January 25, 2016)— As soon as the new year began, Diamante Farms of Wellington, Florida launched into high gear to make this season in the “Winter Equestrian Capital of the World” the best it can be for riders, horses, and all involved in the exciting show season of South Florida.
Mother and daughter Terri and Devon Kane, the owners of Diamante Farms, are avid supporters of the sport of dressage—especially young dressage riders. This month, the Kanes hosted a generous party for the Robert Dover Horsemastership Clinic, and they are also scheduled to host a party for participants, trainers, and family members of the Florida International Youth Dressage Championships later in the season. They are also, once again, the title sponsor of the Under 25 division throughout the 12-week Adequan Global Dressage Festival.
The Kanes and Diamante Farms also actively sponsor the Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center and the Challenge of the Americas fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
“It’s very important to us to show our support for the up-and-coming athletes in our sport,” Terri Kane said. “That is why Devon and I love to help.”
After days of intense training this month with some of the most celebrated dressage professionals in the nation, the young participants of the 2016 Robert Dover Horsemastership Clinic were ready to celebrate their hard work. Diamante Farms transformed from a first-class dressage facility into an inviting party venue for the 2016 Robert Dover Horsemastership Clinic’s traditional farewell party. With the covered arena’s top-notch footing covered with a dance floor, white lights strung, tables and chairs placed, and a Texas-style barbeque, the arena morphed into a festive atmosphere to host the 200 partygoers. Young riders, clinic auditors, trainers, parents, clinicians, and volunteers for the clinic all mixed to enjoy the evening at Diamante Farms.
This marked the fifth year of the Robert Dover Horsemastership Clinic, aimed at identifying and training promising young dressage stars to move them up the pipeline for international success. Riding lessons from dressage superstars as well as presentations and lectures from top professionals in the industry were packed into the clinic. Diamante Farms was proud to host the party at the end of the clinic for the first time.
Just as quickly as the Diamante Farms arena was readied for the party, it was back to business by 7:30 the next morning for Devon Kane to continue schooling the promising horses she has coming up the ranks, including Sir Galanto, an 11-year-old Hanoverian stallion (by Stedinger out of a De Niro mare), and 8-year-old Winchester, her Oldenburg gelding (by World of Dreams out of a Fürst Heinrich mare). She will compete at the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival, located just minutes from the 10-acre Diamante Farms in Wellington, Florida.
