Wellington, FL (January 13, 2016)— The 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival will attract some of the biggest names in high-performance dressage to compete for prize money in the richest series of the sport. Diamante Farms, a founding sponsor of the prestigious Adequan Global Dressage Festival, will once again demonstrate its support of dressage by serving as an official sponsor of the 12-week festival held in Wellington, Florida, from January 14 to April 2, 2016.
For the fifth year in a row, Diamante Farms will be the presenting sponsor for the Global Dressage Festival Wellington CDI5* held on February 10-14. Diamante Farms has been an integral part of making the CDI5* a success since the Global Dressage Festival originated, and is excited to once again have the opportunity to do so. This year, Diamante Farms’ owners Terri and Devon Kane will continue a new tradition that they began at the CDI5* Freestyle in 2015— the Salute to the Olympians. The event was extremely well received last year, and Diamante Farms plans to roll out the red carpet this February to once again honor all dressage riders of any country who have ever competed in the Olympics. Celebrate with the Olympians and Diamante Farms before enjoying the CDI5* Friday Night Under the Lights Freestyle competition.
Throughout the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival show series, Diamante Farms will once again be the title sponsor of the FEI Under 25 (U-25) classes. Diamante Farms is excited to congratulate the winners of each CDI week’s Under 25 division.
Even as Devon Kane competes in the Adequan Global Dressage Festival herself and in prestigious shows throughout the U.S. and Europe, she and the entire team at Diamante Farms feel that honoring successful dressage legends (such as the Olympians) and nurturing the future of dressage (such as the Under 25 competitors) are of utmost importance.
“We feel it is very important to our sport to have a first-class facility in order to bring top competitors from all over the world,” says Terri Kane of Diamante Farms. “The only way we will be able to be truly competitive is to compete against the best. At one time, the only way our competitors could do that was to go to Europe. Now, with this facility we are seeing the Europeans come here. Diamante Farms is extremely proud to have been an inaugural part of the Global Dressage Festival, and plans to be a part of it for many years to come.”
The 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival is the world’s largest international and national dressage circuit featuring several CDIs (including CDI-Ws, a 4*, and a 5*), and weekly U.S. National events. Sponsors like Diamante Farms help make this winter show circuit possible for the international dressage community.
Diamante Farms, set on 10 pristine acres just minutes from the show grounds in the heart of Wellington, is looking forward to sponsoring another season of exciting competition. Devon Kane will be competing at the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival on her well-known partner Destiny, her self-trained Danish Warmblood who claimed the title of 2014 U.S. Dressage Finals Grand Prix Champion with Kane. For the past several months, Destiny has been in Germany in training with Olympic Gold Medalist Hubertus Schmidt. Kane is excited to have Destiny return in February to begin competing at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in March, where he will bring his new experience and training to their partnership. Kane will also be debuting some of her younger horses at this year’s show series, including Sir Galanto, her Hanoverian stallion (by Stedinger out of a De Niro mare) who is coming 11, and Winchester, her Oldenburg gelding (by World of Dreams out of a Fürst Heinrich mare) who is coming eight. After spending the summer in Europe training with Hubertus Schmidt and representing Team USA at the Nations Cup CDIO5* in Falsterbo, Sweden, Kane is prepared and excited for competition season in her own hometown. Her schedule is packed— she will be showing every week of the three-month circuit.
Kane is excited to begin the 2016 show season with her wonderful sponsors, including MDC Stirrups, DSB Boots, Choice of Champions International, Custom Saddlery, Uvex, Animo, and Back on Track.
The Kanes and Diamante Farms actively sponsor more than the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in their community— they also support the Robert Dover HorseMastership Clinic, the Florida International Youth Dressage Championships, the Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center, and the Challenge of the Americas fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Diamante Farms offers top-quality training, clinics, boarding, and sales in dressage. The beautiful estate owned by the Kane family boasts over twenty stalls constructed in courtyard style, grass paddocks, and large covered and outdoor arenas with world-class footing.
